Day 17 Chambrayaday | Chambray Style | Fall Decor

Today was a combination of task and reward. I spent my morning at the social security office to change my last name (it was a success and I kept every piece of my name and then some). I told myself I could get there when it opened, get the job done, and as both therapy and a reward on the way home, make multiple stops to score discounted Halloween decorations. and that I did.

I knew today was dedicated to accomplishing these errands so I dressed appropriately. The clutch became a cross-body purse which was perfect for being hands-free while I waited in line and filled out name change forms. I wore yet another pair of harem crops to stay cozy while running around town and the scarf was perfect for different temperatures as I went from store to store.

I scored big-time with my Halloween hauls and even found beautiful fall decorations at a steal-of-a-deal. I was completely inspired to make our apartment Thanksgiving oriented but doing it in a way that is my taste and style. I used my visual merchandising skills to "stage" nooks of our apartment and create a cozy feel without feeling cramped by decor clutter. I used multiple elements; pieces I previously owned and those I took the time to find today.

I now have a new last name (official) and a transformed apartment. I encourage you to feel invigorated by both the clothes you wear and the space you inhabit.
